Terms and Conditions
Welcome to MaidCalm. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the cleaning services we arrange and provide through Maid Calm LLC (d/b/a “MaidCalm”) (“MaidCalm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking services or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
MaidCalm provides residential and commercial cleaning services in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
Our services are not legal, tax, or financial advice.
2. No Guarantee of Results
Cleaning results may vary based on home condition, access, and other factors. If you have concerns, contact us promptly so we can review.
3. Scheduling and Access
You agree to provide accurate information and reasonable access to the premises at the scheduled time. If access is not available (for example, incorrect lockbox code, no entry, pets not secured as requested), the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may apply.
4. Payments
You agree to pay the service price displayed or quoted at booking, plus any applicable taxes or fees. Payments are processed through third-party providers (such as Stripe).
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your scheduled service time, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booked service cost.

6. Damage and Liability
Please notify us of any damage concerns within a reasonable time after service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MaidCalm's maximum liability for any damage arising from a single cleaning visit shall not exceed the total cost of that cleaning visit.
For significant damage claims, MaidCalm may initiate a claim through our general liability insurance policy.
7. Independent Contractors
Cleaning professionals who perform services may be independent contractors. MaidCalm may facilitate scheduling, payment, and quality assurance.
8. Client Non-Solicitation
To protect our contractor network and service quality, you agree that during your engagement with MaidCalm and for 12 months thereafter, you will not directly hire or retain any MaidCalm cleaning professional you were introduced to through MaidCalm for cleaning services outside the MaidCalm platform.
If you violate this section, a referral fee of $500 will be assessed.
9. SMS Communications
If you provide your phone number and opt in via an unchecked-by-default checkbox, you consent to receive SMS messages from MaidCalm related to your booking and services (for example: confirmations, scheduling, arrival updates, and service-related follow-ups). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not required to book or receive cleaning services. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP.
10. Intellectual Property
All website content is owned by MaidCalm or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
11. Limitation of Warranties
The website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
12. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or your use of the website or services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will indicate when changes were made.
